以下は発生する物事の好例です。
われわれが美しく晴れた空をながめる場合、ただ空が見えるだけです。
しかし自分と青空とのあいだには酸素、水素などの目に見えない元素がいくつもあることをわれわれは知っています。
けれどもひとたびそれらが活動をゆるめると雲が現れます。
そして雲の活動が減じるとそれはふたたびもとの状態に返り、ついにはまったく見えなくなってもとの不可視のガスになります。
しかしここにおいてさえも、何かの変化がもとのガス類のあいだに起こったと考えてよいでしょう。
ところがもし雲がその活動を減じ続けることによって濃密になるならば、大気はしめっぽくなり始めます。というのはこんどはガスは液状になってきて、水分が地上に落ち始めるからです。これは二度目の活動の領域です。

この現象の説明に適した例をあげましょう。
我々が美しく澄んだ空を見るとき、空の他には何も見えません。
しかし、青い空と見つめている自分との間には、不可視の酸素や水素等による気体が何層にも重なって存在する事が分かります。
ひとたび気体が活動を緩めると、雲が現れます。
更に活動を緩めると、再び元の状態に戻る為に、不可視な気体に戻ります。
しかし、この状態においてさえも、オリジナルな気体状態に多少の変化が生じている事が推測されます。
更に、雲は活動を緩め続ける事によって濃密になり、大気は湿気を帯び始め、気体類は液体状態に変化して水が地上に落ち始めます。これが活動における第二の領域です。

This is a good example of what takes place:
When we look into a beautiful clear sky, we do not see anything but the sky.
Yet we know that between us and the blue are layers and layers of gases such as oxygen and hydrogen, etc., that we do not see.
But once they slow up their activity a cloud will appear.
And once it slows up its activity it may then reactivate itself and become totally invisible as it returns to its invisable gas.
Yet even here we may speculate that some change has taken place among the original gases.
But should the cloud get heavier by continued slowing up of its action the atmosphere will begin to feel moist for now the gases are coming into a liquid state and moisture will start dropping to earth, which is the second kingdom in action.
